What did you do to your TJ today?

Replaced the tie rod at the steering knuckle. Took away the shimmy I would sometimes feel on uneven pavement or sharp turns. The rest of the tie rod ends and ball joints were tight. Only problem I had was I had purchased the wrong part because it had right hand threads and mine took left hand threads. First part was from Amazon (cheaper), but I ended up "biting the bullet" and bought the new part at local auto parts. I hate to pay their prices, but I had it all torn apart!

Didn’t do anything to the TJ today but I drove it to pick up this sweet deal I found on Marketplace. Milwaukee M12 3/8” drive impact with 4.0 & 2.0 batteries, case and charger 😎 $100! They’re $350 at Home Depot right now. Didn’t reallllly need it, but I couldn’t pass it up for the price.

I'll take it off your hands for $150! ;)

I took the front driveshaft out to see if my vibes would go away. Nope.
Rotated the tires and the vibes are gone.
Now I need to adjust pinion / caster I’m thinking.
The Jeep is darty back and forth.

Yeah I would check the caster but you would need adjustable control arms. Have you ever heard of the fix? I have all the caster I can without messing up the pinion alignment and mine is still a little darty but not much , I am going to try the fix when I put on the ZJ steering upgrade.

That’s exactly what I’ve got. To tell the truth, I haven’t done enough wheeling with them to really know how good they are, but so far it’s been great.

I guess we are not the only ones to like this combo .... seem to be coming out of the woodwork . Seems I chose a popular way to go. Glad to know you like it and I have heard others talk good about them .... guess I chose wisely !

I’ve got adjustable CA. I’ve been adjusting them the past couple day to get rid of the front vibes. It ended up being a wheel and tire causing them.

Excactly, you can’t keep a car in alignment around here🤣

For sure, my travel to work..... I24 smooth to the I24-US27 split the rough all the way to the I24-I75 junction, at least the small stretch of I75 is smooth to 153, but dang anything off 153 is rough and a goat trail :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
