Sorry if this has already been covered but I've done a search and have come up with nothing.

The other day I noticed that my steering wheel was off just a tad to the right and there was excess play in the wheel. I had my girlfriend slowly steer the wheel back and forth in an effort to diagnose the issue and discovered the arms entering the side of the drag link adjustment sleeve were not solid and are flexing slightly as the wheel turned. I attempted to tighten the bolts but it feels as though they are already bottomed out and will not tighten any further.
Is this normal? is this dangerous?

I've been looking for the part online an feel I may have found it for around $10 on Amazon. The issue I have is they are described as tie rod adjustment sleeves and come in different sizes and I'm not sure which one to order.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I’m not going to discourage anyone from purchasing new steering components- But if you will look at how those work and where are the slice is in the centering sleeve- If you will rotate those so that as they pull together they put the same pressure on the centering sleeve they will work better- In other words their function is to draw it up tight -

Looking at the picture they need rotated on the sleeve about a quarter turn

Start with that and also take a good look at your track bar it can create a loose steering feel and the The wheel being off-center

There is only one drag link centering sleeve sold and you should be able to buy that over the counter for about $10 or so- moog Is a really good brand that I like to get when I can
