Small surface cracks on timing chain cover?

I'm doing an overhaul of the cooling system (radiator, hoses, thermostat) and while I had some of the components pulled I cleaned off the build-up on the front of the timing chain cover which revealed what look like small surface cracks?

Thoughts on whether or not this is cause for concern or warrants replacement?

No issue in my opinion. I read some people clean it and use JB weld to fill the cracks. I wouldn't worry unless somebody posts a horror story.

Look at your transmission and you will see the same crystallization from the casting process. Those were there from day one. Nothing to fix and nothing to be concerned about.
