Jeep walk around video praise and criticism thread

I'm just being a turd, people should use whatever apps they like. I just wasn't impressed when we ran into people that seemed affiliated on the trail once. They were going to flip two different rigs during a recovery.
I've heard the story. Sounded like a real dick and did not know how to handle that particular situation.

15" travel shocks with 3-4" of up (with a full MetalCloak Arched System) is awesome. What does the group think?

I thought it would be neat to attend an Unlimited LJ Adventure event some day.
Started in 2015.
I watched one of their videos recently, and it was mostly stretched wheel base LJs.
Seems like every year they up the tire size minimum, and this year they even allowed trailering between stops.
'The event is limited to 20 vehicles which is comprised of 10 attendees, 5 sponsors, and 5 organizers/media vehicles.'
They ruined it for the average guy.

Well...let's send this thread in a useful direction...what criteria should be covered in a walk around video? Or more importantly what information is commonly missed and really should be included for a good impartial evaluation?

That's kind of the issue, every walkaround is from someone shilling their upgrades. Few people are willing to talk about the issues when they're showing things off.

No one is going to watch a video of me walking around my rig pointing at all the things I have addressed over the years, they'll leave the video thinking it's a half baked build.

Same. Mine is pretty well put together, but it doesn't get much attention because very few recognize what has been done. At best, some can see that things look different from what they are used to.

Occasionally I'll go through the highlights I feel are noteworthy and I can see the eyes glaze over early on. Deep down, I actually like that.

I was just talking yesterday with a buddy about how I want to make a video spoofing all the jeep and overland channel tropes.

-dress my wife in yoga pants and a crop top to talk about mods she had no part in installing
-take 6 hours to do a 1 hour trail because I'm filming every pebble I drive over from 5 different angles, but dedicate 75% of the video to boring nonsense at a campsite like namedropping all the YT channels of the other drivers to try to build my own YT cred
-empty my entire rig of gear to review my $10 surplus ammo cans, my Kobalt tool set, and the Amazon hammock and sleeping bag I use to sleep inside my LJ, and talk about my soft top as if it's a tent.
-spend 5 minutes on the store brand hot dogs I'm grilling on a campfire and the beans I'm eating straight from the can like it's some gourmet shit
