What did you do to your TJ today?

Cleaned with thinner, then mineral spirits, sanded lightly, then 3 coats of Rustoleum rattle can self etching primer.

Have to give credit to @Irun. I'd never painted aluminum before, and while researching bumpers, I noticed he'd installed the same one, so got some tips from him. 👍
I have my UCF aluminum front bumper coming in next week. I’m also debating leaving it unpainted or painting it black. It also would be the only unpainted visible aluminum part other than my skids underneath

Finally got around to making my carbon fiber switch panel for the winch controls. Bottom is power, left is spool in, right is spool out. Ran a cardboard version taped in place for about a year lol

I like that front bumper and may eventuality get it. If I'd have gotten them together, I'd probably leave them bare, especially if I had aluminum skids. 😉

Yesterday I primed and painted the UCF aluminum/ hybrid rear bumper I recently ordered. Today I installed it.

Great quality product and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

All I did was oil/filter change. Took the rear seat belts out. Nice to have the buckles out from the middle of the floor now.

Was going to install the basket for the rear. I stripped the t40 bolt on the left roll bar. Awe well. I don't have enough gear yet to use it tomorrow.

After 3 months of waiting, 3 emails, and 3 back orders I finally received my seat back release cable 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

Now I regret not buying two as I know my second seat will go before long due to my excellent engineering 😂

Oil and filter change no metallic flakes or glitter, cleanest looking & colour oil I have ever changed, must be the synthetic filter? well it would want to be given the price compared to a standard filter or maybe the Magnatec?
Oil Colour was a deep amber so I had to go buy a case of "Tui" my favourite New Zealand beer about the same colour as the oil that came out, I had to keep my tongue from licking at that amber stuff as I was laying on my back on the hot asphalt in 35c temp :) I did notice though laying on my back there looking around for trouble that the inside of my metric Wildpeaks show OD: and OW: in inches.

The leather is maybe 1/8” thick (but feels durable). The newly covered steering wheel is certainly thinner than the OEM wheel on the e46 M3 I had 10+ years ago.
BMW wheels are big. I had an e36 M3 and it was a pretty thick grip.
