    Koyorad A2798 versus A2102

That’s where the A2798 number came from! You’re a genius @oldjeepman! Part Geeks had the number wrong, the “poops”. 🙄 Sorry you had some inconvenience….

Hi @oldjeepman…. I’m not sure of your build project, radiator size in an 2006 LJ and use for your A2798, but you might want to check A2798’s dimensions. A2798 is a long, lean “Sally”…. Koyorad recommends A2102 for 1987-2005 Jeeps. I saw no listings for 2006…. Don’t know what the 2006...

    Koyorad A2798 versus A2102

Seems a shame so many OEM parts have been discontinued. Yes, my Jeep is 20 years old now; however, I’m still surprised. Unlike working on my Toyota (also just as old), working on the Jeep - even for just maintenance items, has been more an exercise in finding quality part replacements than the...

    Koyorad A2798 versus A2102

I saw that particular part number A2798 in a comparison chart. Problem may have been that I had been searching the forum for quality radiator replacements for the discontinued MOPAR. “Search” took me to lots of different places including to this great build thread, which had the most solid...

    Koyorad A2798 versus A2102

I just saw a really detailed radiator review from member @Irun who has used several different radiator types in his rebuilds. In his thread he mentioned liking Koyorad A2798 a lot, as well as the Koyorad A2102 and several others. In particular, the Koyorad brand sounded attractive to me…...

Thank you. I don’t want to keep downing Irun’s amazing build thread. I’ll move my questions there.

Very cool! Post your install. If this thread is not the right place to post, let me know where you start up your new thread. If you post, I’ll follow you there, because I’d love to see. I think, the A2798 will require some additional mods for me to install in my Jeep. And I believe it will...

@Irun - Thank you for all this wonderful information. I’m new to the forum and have jumped into your thread towards its current end because I was searching through the forum for a radiator that was considered high quality to replace my existing radiator in a 2005 4.0L manual. You list both the...

Koyorad is on Amazon for $165 (includes shipping), with about a 5 day delivery for all that may be interested. I’ll check a couple more resources and then jump on it. And thank you everyone. This is an incredible group.

Saw someone post info about Champion Radiators. I’ll try to find that post, but I’m not doing a very good job at navigating here yet…. LOL! I’m not familiar with Champion, but think they are all metal, 2 row and possible designed with manuals in mind???, since they are geared to the racing...
