PSC pump howling again at higher RPMs

My good buddy has been having issues with his full hyfro system for a long time, mostly whining real bad when hot and foaming. He's tried several iterations of fluid and reservoir. Finally have it quiet with pressurized reservoir, and... Mobil 0-20 motor oil. Hah! Aside from tractors, never...

Poly Performance tower cuts for front 11" remote reservoir Fox shocks

You can either cut out the stock upright and use the tower as that upright brace, or leave it and cut the tower to it. I've done both ways. Blaine has done WAY more and like the one above would be the cleanest and quickest.

Code reader that can start transmission quicklearn

Check with Jscan. I used it to do the TCM Adaptive relearn on my NAG1 in my Grand Cherokee the other day. Only $25. I didn't know the Chrysler trannies needed this though? Maybe I should do it on the 545RFE in my Hemi Jk. It seems to change gears with little throttle input.

    Gear pattern: a different perspective

I would run that for sure as is.

    What is powertrain verification system?

JScan has several of the relearn procedures in it. I just did the TCM Adaptive Relearn for the trans after regearing our WK CRD.

    Control arm design question

Other companies use solid stock, RockKrawler is one. I'm no metallurgist, but my understanding is that DOM has almost the same resistance to bending as solid (solid is still stronger) at a fraction of the weight. I've used both. The solid stock I have is usally from shit RockKrawler lifts I've...

Has anyone taken a Rancho RS9000 shock apart?

Higher nitrogen pressure isn't a bandaid. Can be I guess, for too small of shocks. But it's a requirement on some setups due to shaft speeds, amount of valving, and reservoir size.

    Fabricated 9s build

Cool build. Keep us posted. I have always used the 99-04 style, but the short stubs and direct to unit bearing has be wanting to build an 05 style. Trail gear has some fab knuckles for the older style. And we raced with a front High9, the older style with welded oil drain. Worked great up to...

Has anyone taken a Rancho RS9000 shock apart?

Let us know what you find. I can tell you that the Rancho and Bilsteins don't suffer from lack of compression. But an overabundance of rebound. Flip the piston over, I bet it'll ride better.

Can you just change spring sizes?

Depends who you ask. In my opinion, lifting 4 inch on short arms does ruin the geometry of the Jeep. Way too high anti squat for my liking. You'll notice the whole body lifting on acceleration, this translates to lifting front tires when bound up. 2 inch lifts don't seem to have this same...

Moving lower control arm mount point and anti-squat question

I've never really put the numbers in for an LJ, but that 100% seems way better than the 130% I've calculated for a TJ. Of course, it all depends where you guess the COG to be. I like 50-70 percent. If you don't have any quirks that annoy you, no need to change anything.

    Help With Buying Marketplace Axles

Most times not. Some drivelines are worse than others. Like I said, the diff is offset some bit to one side. The driveline can't take that up.

    Help With Buying Marketplace Axles

If you're okay with the likely driveline vibration, then run it. Also watch side loading the axles.

    Help With Buying Marketplace Axles

Agree. The skinner width, offset diff, and weak axle flanges are a no go for me. Keep and build the 44.

Moving lower control arm mount point and anti-squat question

Yes, you can change your antisquat (for the better) by flattening the rear links. Lifted short arms on 4 inch climbs terrible IMO. Lots of antisquat (hopping, front tire lifting, ect). I build mine differently than others, but also like a lot lower antisquat than any Jeep suspension kit personally.
