It was suggested on another on-line gathering place of like minded individuals that it was most likely my multifunction switch. Switch has been replaced and I can report that it solved the problem. Roughly a $40.00 part and about 15 minutes to replace. You need a phillips and both a torx 10...

Rear indicators and brake lights work just fine, but when I put the hazards on only the front flash. Has anyone else experienced this? 2004 Rubicon, 4.0L, 42RLE
