EVAP on 06 farting & sounds like letting air out of a balloon

I've posted this in other threads, but I had a leak problem in my Evap system that my mechanic and I chased for 2 years. It turned out the the Schrader Valve for the test port was leaking. We removed it from the system and haven't had a leak since.

    P0442 Frustrations

I had a similar problem when I got the Muddog 10 years, (REALLY?!) ago. My mechanic chased it on and off for two years. We changed out just about every component, line, and fitting there is. Even the gas tank! He finally figured out that the Schrader Valve on the test port was leaking. He...

    Old School Hella Lights

I'd absolutely love to have the Retrobrights. But not at $200. and that's on sale! Honestly I rarely even drive at night anymore, so what I have (Bus Depot Z Beams with Hella 80/ 100 watt bulbs, Hella 550 fog lights, and four 55 watt driving lights that you can't get anymore), is adequate for...

    Old School Hella Lights

Admittedly, I've never had a "good" set of LEDs, but even driving with others that have better ones, I still find that I can see better with a warmer light. A set of LEDs in a 5000 Kelvin might be better, but I simply don't have the financial wherewithal to try them. I'd dearly like a set of...

    Old School Hella Lights

I too hate LEDs. I just can't see with them. You'll get the best performance by mounting them where the LED bar is now. But they'll be better protected mounted on the lower bar. Do NOT mount them low, way too much chance of knocking them off. When you wire them up, use 14 AWG wire. That way, if...

What are you running for a 3rd brake light?

I suppose that I should have shown the light that I'm using. It's an inexpensive LED tail light, I just use the brighter light on it. When I did a round LED tail light conversion, I used these as side marker lights/ turn signal lights, AND they also serve as a reflector so that all Legal...

Want to test a new wheel: How stupid is it to run three matching and one mis-matching?

It won't hurt anything. The tire will be a little larger in diameter than the others, but it wouldn't be any worse than running a different size spare.

Check out this welded lunchbox locker!

I don't think so. I've seen Freiburger weld up open diffs several times, but I'm pretty sure that unless that lunchbox was broken, he'd never do that.

    Heading to the upholstery shop

Did that. Talked to a guy who told me that the guy I needed to talk to had just left for the day, but that he would have him call me first thing tomorrow. That was last summer. Still waiting.

    Heading to the upholstery shop

Probably more than you would think. I wanted to get my Bartacts repaired, (the center section ripped at the seam), and the guy wanted $150 JUST for that. And that was with the seat cover removed.

What type of coolant should I use for my TJ?

As long as you don't mix them you'll be okay. Good luck.

What type of coolant should I use for my TJ?

The type of coolant isn't as important as making sure that you're not mixing different types. Mixing orange and green would be bad. If you do a thorough flush, getting ALL the existing coolant out of it, then fill with whatever you get, you should be fine. Do you know if that coolant you have...

Where do you keep your pistol?

In general I do the same. I open carry, and except under unusual circumstances, (a movie that I REALLY want to see on the big screen, my Dr.s office, government offices), I figure that any place that doesn't want my gun doesn't need my money.
