Best 33” A/T tire for 80% road driving and 20% trail

I was impressed with duratracs when my TJ had 33s. Phenomenal in snow and ice and held up really well off road. They lasted 45k miles. Would have gotten them again but they dont come in a 35

Seems many on this forum like duratracs. After moab, the alpine loop CO, and highway driving in between, I am very pleased. The ride is good, they're fairly quiet, and they air down well.

Probably plenty of other good options, just my $0.02

My KO2's have served well so far. I'm about half way thru them. They suck in sticky mud. Rain and snow not too shabby. Very quiet compared to a mud terrain. General Grabber ATX would be another one to look at. They are a more true 33.

Hands down Falken Wilderpeak AT3s. I got 33x12.5x15 for $160 a tire and absolutely love them. Not the most aggressive looking tire, but quiet on the road and smooth riding, Off-road, I air down to 12 psi and it is impressive with what it can handle. My jeep is my daily driver, so I only go offroad occasionally, but it always impresses me, and even other people in the club. One of the trail guides one time said he had the same tires on his truck and absolutely loves them as well.

I definitely do some more aggressive offroading (That is available in the NE) and it performs incredibly well.

What trails? What have you run and what do you think of them? What pressure do you run on the trail? Is this what looks cool or what will get the job done? I personally couldn't recommend a tire without a little more info.

I’m on my second set of ko2s and I have enjoyed them. I’m partial to narrow tires which unfortunately leaves only a few options but the new Kenda Klever RT 33x9.50r15’s look promising.

Toyo Open Country is what I have. Stick like glue on the road, great up in the woods here in the Northeast. Little buzzy but not louder than the regular TJ noise.

My vote is Duratracs, lot of guys will stick with KOs for sidewall strength. Nittos are on my radar but never owned any. My favorite AT so far, Duratracs.
I’ve had both, both are great tires- the Duratrac is a little more aggressive to me- I’d buy either again, but the scale tips toward the Duratracs.

I like my Firestone destination AT's, they did well off road when I went with @AndyG and @Hog

I've run KO2 on my Jeep and currently on my wife's 4runner. They're quiet and well mannered enough to be daily driven on the street and the only times I failed making an obstacle was more due to driver skill or lacking a front locker. I also really like that they come in 33x10.5 which helps maintain a factory looking stance and a good scrub radius with wheels at or near factory backspacing.

I run Cooper on my LJ now but that's entirely because I wanted to go to an Mt tire with 35s and km3 had a 10 week backorder.

Jeep is in Mesa AZ, it’s our get away spot so probably want see more then 4,000 miles a year. We will be using it as a daily driver when there but also want to get onto the trails, probably make a trip to Moab, haven’t done much though just bought it last year and have been doing some upgrades. It has a 4” rough country X lift, Rancho rs5000x shocks, warn wench, Currie correct link, new ball joints upper and lower. I’ve been running on duratracs at 26 lbs, road and trail what’s the proper air pressure for trail ? No snow, not much mud, like to climb some rocks (mild) lots or gravel and sand on the trails we have tried here near Mesa. Does that info help ?

If you're in Michigan, I recommend a mud terrain over AT.
Honestly I recommend MTs over ATs unless you're just doing desert running.
I'm also not on the K02 camp. they were great...20 years ago. Now just about every other manufacturer has surpassed it.
Take a look at the Nitto grappler series.
