Dang bro. Will they ever come back?normally, I'd say wings and fried pickles, but today I'd have to just pick over everything and settle on what I could actually taste.
The worst part of COVID for me might be the loss of smell and the way it's affected my enjoyment of food. My birthday is Sunday and I don't want to waste a steak. Everything is basically just that flavorless mush they eat in The Matrix.
Toilet wine anyone? It’s amazing the spreads guys can make with ramen in prison.

When I (never confirmed) had it, I lost my taste for a couple weeks. I could go to Buffalo Wild Wings and eat their blazin' wings with no taste. Still made me sweat though.my wife (who got it it about 5 days ahead of me) has her smell back. My taste is mostly back, I'm just missing the parts of it that depend on smell.
I've read about people that take weeks, months, as long as a year to get it back, so I'm hoping I follow my wife's example. I'm pretty happy at least be able to taste stuff again though, even if it's not as full-bodied as before, it's better than nothing.

Funny, people used to think I was weird as hell for that but I'm seeing it mentioned more and more these days. For me it's black pepper, red pepper, chili powder, onion, garlic, and a slice of cheese (or two).If you want to dress your ramen up a little break up a slice of cheese in your noodles while they are cooking , some minced onions and red pepper flakes. Ummmmmm!
