So bought these locally (super excited)... then..super bummed that I can’t use them. I’ve got an 05 with full doors and door surrounds. The door surrounds, and associated padding and cover are preventing me from using them... couple rubs but they are so nice... still shaking my head... I wanted these so badly!!! $95 PayPal shipped to lower 48 USPS.

Hey just for info, I have the exact situation you have and got them to fit. Albeit, I took the padding off, but they'll fit!

Is removing the foam and cover completely the only option for using these on the later tjs? I would love these for my 05 but I'm not ready to lose the padding and cover.

I just cut the front portion of the pad when I installed mine but I only have full doors

You won't notice the padding gone on just the windshield support bars. I thought the same thing and now I hardly notice it gone. I actually think it looks cleaner.

Anyways...good luck with the sale. Whether you decide to keep them or whoever buys them is getting a nice product. These are way better than the soft handles.
