Except who would be stupid enough to buy one of those? 🤷🏻
There's a pretty nice (hardcore) one locally, but he's spent a crapload of money on it.
I guess anything can be built to wheel well if you have the cash.

Broncos will be next.

I could see easily dumping 40k into one of those. I can’t wait to see the solid axle conversions on the new Bronco. That ain’t going to be cheap!

Picked up my trailer on Wed and fabbed up spare tire carriers (jeep and trailer) and bike rack receiver last night. Loaded up to do test run tomorrow, heading to Hot Springs ORV. Hopefully will work out kinks for long haul to Moab.

@Chris - are you doing a semi-official trail list?
Still not entirely sure how to handle this. I really want to wait until the day of.

I don't know how many people are actually going to show up.

My fear is that enough people will show up that it will make any pre-planned trail lists obsolete. What I mean by that is I don't think most of us want to do a trail if we have 30 guys in a line. That's going to take way too long.

My hope is that we can split into smaller groups each day and decide who is doing what trail that day, etc.

But in terms of trails, I would like to see someone who has been to Moab before (I haven't been before) do a list of all the trails we should plan on doing, as well as what each trail requires in terms of build level.

That way I can at least post it on the site and make it a sticky so that people don't try to do ____________ trail if they aren't built enough for it.

Naturally we wouldn't let that happen while we are there, but at least if we know the trails and build levels in advance we can let people sort of plan in advance.

My plans have changed with my dog and I won't be able to get him until 4/29 at the earliest... So I think I'm going to plan to make it to TJ fest now! May have to leave early depending on the adoption date, but the drive is totally worth it even for 3 days out there I think!

Looks like I've gotta start collecting some things but shouldn't be too hard to be ready in a month. Maybe I'll have to read through the thread to find the CO convoy... unless someone wants to PM me clue me in and save me from reading 128 pages ;)

It depends on the trail, but for a few - definitely. As always just need to trust your spotter and ideally you have lockers.

Edit: for 33s you could join for Saturday and the trails after Pritchett on Monday.
I'll be on 31s, I'm hoping to have a lunchbox in front by then but open rear. Thinking I can convoy with you guys there, but will have to go on some easier trails once we actually get there. I'm hoping I'm not the only one there that is close to stock...

We will get our posts updated with rig requirements, I think 31s can do top of the world (there will be a tough section for sure), hells revenge, and fins. Watch that other thread for updates :)

You won’t be alone. You can do Fins and Hells Revenge minus a couple optional obstacles.

Following the thread now.

Awesome, I've never been to the moab at all so I'm sure I'd have a really fun time even if I was limited to easy scenic trails. I'll have to keep out for other jeeps with small wheels when I get there...

There's so much traction there, tire size and lockers may matter a little less (until they do).

That's good to know. A lunchbox would be cool and was in the plans anyways, glad an open rear isn't going to make it a struggle. Now to figure out radio comms and camping... I think I'm going to get that baofeng UV5R and take up the offer on programming it when I arrive (can't remember who said they'd do that but I'll find it eventually)

It may be a struggle at times, once the tires warm up they might start to grab. I ran fins without my lockers just fine. Just do a proper air down (unlike what you see on YouTube) to 10-12psi for more traction.

The person willing to program is @Dino - KX6D , otherwise you can get a cable and a free program called CHIRP and program it yourself. Here's my settings: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1l00DDHX-qdFv1AxD4U65lTMwfU148OdC?usp=sharing

Cool then I'll probably be fine for at least some of the easier technical trails! Hoping to learn a lot from you guys. We'll see how motivated I am when I get the radio... I'm not technically inept but I know very little about radios.
Best hurry! Some folks have to wait several weeks before their baofeng finally shows up
Ah okay! I can just get that going now to be sure I get it in time... is this the correct one? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08XM5LQ6K/?tag=wranglerorg-20
I've read a bit about a lot of knockoffs from Amazon but that looks like it's from the Baofeng store?
