What did you do to your TJ today?

Finally got the tonneau cut and edges cleaned up. I purposely left it proud at the tailgate not knowing exactly how how much overhang would look good. It is pretty close in line with the bed on the sides. No holes have been drilled in it yet. I have a thought but not wanting to sway opinions what do y’all think about the rear overhang? It will be painted to match the body.

I love the "pick up" hardtop. Where did you get it?

They have a soft tonneau that they install but the center brace interfered with the use of the trunk. The brace would have to be removed each time the trunk was opened so I kept the trunk and didn’t do the soft tonneau.

1/4", there's overkill and then there is the stuff you do.

Saturday, I went to watch the Dawgs beat Notre Dame. Here she is just before we headed out to the tailgate. Go Dawgs!

Looks wise I agree with bringing it back to the same placement as the sides. But that depends on what method of seal you are going to use between the bed and diamond plate. HD has black foam seals that are thick with adhesive back. Not sure how long they would last. But cheap to replace.

Anyway my only argument for the extra overhang is if it's going to help keep extra water out. Otherwise depend on the seal and make it all the same overhang all the way around the back.

Looks awesome btw.

Changed the oil in both diffs. Not sure when it was done last but the rvt silicone was a whitish gray which is a color of rvt I haven't seen before. Possibly factory Mopar? Had a metallic sheen in the old oil but spiders and ring gears look good. No chunks anyway.
When I did mine a couple months ago...same thing, had some iron filings type metal from the front but nothing to worry about.
