What did you do to your TJ today?

Washed the Jeep and flushed out the frame and body mount channels with the power washer pipe cleaning attachment. Lots of sand, rocks, clay flushed out that was left behind by the garden hose. Probably should do it more often after off roading.

Continued a rear brake job struggle. Think I may have a mis-threaded wheel cylinder, because I cannot get the brake line (both new and old) to thread in properly. I'd really love to get this all done cause my new soft top is arriving soon and I'm really anxious to drive this thing again.

Man, I put some air shocks and some side pipes, annnnd some leatherrrrr........

Kidding.

But I did put the rear half of my Zone Combo's suspension lift on. And 33s. Still need to torque everything down annnnd I may not be able to get it out of the garage, lol. May have to "air down" to get it out or put the 31s back on. Kinda like a monster truck going in the trailer. 3" suspension lift if any one is wondering. Hope to get the front done Saturay night or Sunday morning. Oh, and rear JKS adjustable track bar is on. And rear Rancho shocks.

When I did my rear brakes both sides the brake line didn’t thread all the way into the wheel cylinder. Maybe half way. But I didn’t want to over tighten. Haven’t noticed any leaks so I rolled with it.

Replaced my worn out fox 2.0 perf series with upgraded version with low speed adj. Simple change and going to have fox rebuild the original for around 75 each and sell.
Install simple enough and didn't even take tires off. I didn't like the new single bracket to hold the reservoir so used the old setup. For the front I didn't like the how they hung down very close to breakline. I drilled a mounting hole in fender well and moved the reservoir parallel to the frame rail and used the new mounting bracket to firmly hold it in place. It ended up very secure and now out of way.

New Bumper Today.
Removed the MOPAR tow hitch and stock bumper.
Gained 6.5 inches of clearance on the rear of the jeep.
Last week at Big Bend NP Cracked my radiator top but repaired it with Super Glue and Baking Soda. We were on River Road West 30 miles from Pavement. Ran fine into Alpine and installed a new rad from the auto parts store..

Been working on frame rust removal and prevention.
The process I used was to blow out the frame with air compressor.
Wire brush rusty areas.
Spray rusty areas down with phosphoric acid, let sit for hour and spray down again as needed. Then rinse with hose.
Once dry, sprayed rusty areas with Rustoleum Rust Reformer.
Finally, sprayed frame with Rustoleum Satin Black as top coat.
This is been a multiple day project and I am happy with the results. Our TJ will be stored winters and will see zero to minimum rain.
