What did you do to your TJ today?

I got the front end done, installed new brake lines, the calipers were installed on the opposite sides so I swapped them so they could be bled, installed the cruise control mount onto the new fender. Found that the washer bottle mounted different between the 98-02 vs 03-06, so I am trying to find the older one so I am not drilling and cutting the fender to get it to fit. I may put the fender and hood on tonight, then I can take it off jacks, turn it around in the garage and then start the rear control arms.

I got my heater control LED bulbs a day early, so I put those in. :D

Here is a before and after pic. :D

After that I went and towed a tow truck. LOL

This is my hubby's coworkers truck, that he drives everyday, to and from work and on tows. The coworker neglected to fill the truck up, and of course when hubby had to drive it, it ran out of fuel. LOL (gas gauge doesn't work, it's a Ford! LOL)

I
I just got a quote new clamps for my lower radiator hose from the stealership, $30 for the two. That seems absurd.
Well, stopped by the dealer, Tried to haggle since Rock Auto has both of them for $12 + shipping. He told me to pound sand and to order online, no deal....

Went home and took another look at the Lower clamp, put some force on it with my fingers and snap.... Rust. Found my problem. Threw a worm gear on for now, no more leak. Will order the proper hardware.

LOL, it is surprisingly easy to do. I sure wish my VW Bus's dash was that easy to get into. You have to be a contortionist, to just try to get to the heater/fresh air lever pins. Then you have to try to use a small socket to get the pins to come out of them. I looked at doing it once, then decided I like my dash lights the way they are. LOL TJ was a cake walk. :D

What is all over your axle? Is it annoying to work around all that "crud?"

Threw a half sheet of 3/8” plate on the plasma table to cut out a belly skid plate extension to cover the Atlas 4 speed. Hope to get it finished up and mounted tomorrow. Also finished my seat belt brackets for the new PRP seats.

Put new 33’s, beadlocks, LED headlights on today.

Ordered my soft top and bought fox shocks. Next is LED taillights, new front bumper, install the BL, MML lift and start down the road of tummy tuck. Wish me luck! 😂

I have been working to figure out some minor recovery gear, but I didn't expect to use it yet!
I got a panicked call from my son's grammy. She took her eyes off the road and ended up in the ditch.

the hardest part was finding a place to recover from on her itsy bitsy Japanese car. I was surprised at just
how easy I was able to pull it out of the ditch!

I think I killed my head unit. Put a CD in, hit eject and nothing happened. Power button doesn't work and neither does cycling the engine/ accessories. I wasnt looking to change any of the factory audio but I guess I might be looking at that sooner than later
