A Story of Indecision and Frivolous Spending

Well what do you know... the USPS tracking decided to update today after I posted that. Looks like it's in Portland, so I'll probably get the brackets on Monday.

@mrblaine, incase I end up putting them on myself, do they have instructions with them, or do you have a visual image of how they attach?

I imagine it's self-explanatory, but a visual always helps.

Interestingly enough I was also screwed by USPS today in a very similar way. They must've had a late truck or plane, or something .

In my case it's even more irritating considering I live in Portland! Now it's saying delivery on Monday.

My amazon prime package is 2 days late. I guess its just that time of the year. It sat at the hub all day today. Made it in at 3am no attempt was even made.

I have nothing good to say about the amazon owned delievery service. I cringe every time I see it's the method used.

When they first rolled that out I had so many issues.. Plenty of late orders, including a few that were time sensitive. I also had two packages get lost which required replacements to get sent out. One of which I ended up receiving the original package 3 months later! :risas3:

At least in Portland it's got a lot better since then, but I still have the odd delay or brainless delivery guy.

Contact them, they'll typically give you a free month of prime or two for the delayed package if you ask.

My main issue is that I used to have packages went to my work but the delivery guy would always come after 5 when nobody was in the office. I called amazon multiple times to try and opt out of the service which was shot down.

Now I have everything sent to the house and they consistently show up around 8pm.

The amazon shipping is very good here near Chicago. I once ordered something at 10:30 AM and it was here at 4:30 PM. The amazon lockers are also really convenient.

Yep, I have a feeling they are going to update the status of mine to Monday delivery as well. It's a bit annoying considering this isn't the first issue I've had with USPS.

I was just thinking last night. That @ObiWanWebWheelr build has got to be my favorite build I've ever seen. I would have to credit that as my inspiration for my build. Every single thing on that thing looks exactly like the way I would have wanted it myself. Absolutely perfect!

@mrblaine, with the factory Moab wheels on that build and the 315 (I'm assuming they are 315) tires, does it rub at all? I would think with the 5.25" backspacing that those tires would cause issues unless it's got wheel spacers on there and I missed that part.

EDIT: Nevermind, looks like you used a 1" wheel spacer, that would explain it!

Are they 16” or 17” Moab’s? I can’t remember

They are 1.25" wheel adapters, not wheel spacers. They are the JK Moab wheels which are 17", not the 16" TJ Moab. The TJ Moab will clear the Super 16" kit without a spacer since that it what I designed it for. To be the largest brake kit that would fit inside a 16" Moab rim.

Okay, that's what I have on mine now, 1.25" wheel adapters (TJ to JK lug pattern). Those really do look great on that build!
