Novak Conversions Jeep Wrangler TJ radiator

What did you do to your TJ today?

Replaced my cooling system this weekend. Went well, the fan clutch was a bugger to get off, but everything else came apart pretty easy. Filled it will de-ionized water, and it's leaking and the lower radiator hose. The clamp is broken. Anyone know where to get those constant tension spring clamps?

Throw it away and put on a worm-drive hose clamp....just my opinion.

Got my 7” led spot lights wired in on the bumper.

Swapped wheels out. Out with the black wheels and in with the Rubi's on BFG MT's. Have them at 26psi for now. One tire is a noise maker, hope I don't get sick out the noise

Tire noise?? That's your Jeep singing to ya!! I used to love to listen to a quartet of Gumbo Mudders!

Only had time to do the high priority item, changing the rear diff fluid. Definitely planning to go to the reusable gasket next time, getting RTV off without making a mess in there isn’t easy.

How does that sub sound?? Does it require an amp to power it or is it just an upgraded version of the factory sub?

It’s powered, so it has its own box and amp built in. So it’s pretty solid, it can definitely kick - I leave it on about 20-25% gain for normal use. I’ve not heard the kicker or other options but I’m pretty content with it.

View attachment 61060me and a buddy began to install the mml without a BL, we realized we’d need to take off the alternator for the cross member bolt to come out and just backed out and I think the vibes are so slight that I might just not put the mml in

No need to remove it. Unbolt the engine bracket with engine mount attached. The engine bracket bolts are easy to access. Just remember to reinstall the through-bolt in the opposite direction for next time.

X2, great advice and a smart solution.

I don’t know I should’ve probably looked closely at it myself bc he goin a better look st the cross bolt and told me it wouldn’t come out. We didn’t want to go through to the nighttime bc it was holloween so I guess we might’ve backed out of it more

Also the stub bolt wouldn’t allow us to skip the mml in between and our jack maxed out

What he's saying is there is no need to remove that cross bolt. There are two other bolts under the motor mount, holding the motor mount to the frame. If you remove those then you just lift the motor mount off with the cross bolt still in it.

Of course, when you go to mount up your new motor mount lift, you go ahead and remove the cross bolt from the original and make sure and put it in the opposite direction on the new motor mount lift. That way if you do ever have to remove it again, its easier. I will admit, it is difficult to get to the two bolts underneath, but it is doable.

WELL. I just noticed that I didn’t have a call along when trying to figure out why my ac doesn’t blow cold. I literally looked in my engine bay comparing to another 4cyl, just not noticing that I don’t even have any condenser and no ac lines or anything XD
