Novak Conversions Jeep Wrangler TJ engine mounts

What did you do to your TJ today?

I bought a 1999 TJ from the original owner. Deep Forest Green, hard top, 47,440 original miles. They towed it behind their motorhome and stored it in the winter. It's been very well maintained and I have all the service data on it. I'm looking forward to installing a light bar, it is winterized (I live in North Pole, Alaska) and has brand new winter tires so ready for winter driving ... got a very great price on it so .... the wife can have her car back.
Post a naked pic...of the Jeep.

Almost ready for the liner.

Also discovered the shifter bezel, inner boot and shifter tower boot (dust seal) were shot. If anyone else has the NV3550 and need to replace the rubber boot on the tower, quadratec sells the hurst shift boot (1140024) for $40 if you don’t want or need to replace the entire tower ($90+).

Of course, I discover this after ordering the tower.

When they shipped my LJ, they put the softtop inside collapsed and then the hardtop overtop. As a result, I could not get my softtop out without taking off the hardtop. Only problem is the LJ hardtop weights close to 200 lbs.

So today, I assembled a small army to remove the hardtop, remove the softtop, and then put the hardtop back on. I can now better appreciate the space in the LJ.

So much room for activities! Now I just need to clean, paint and eventually carpet the back.

I finally got around to fixing the gas overflow problem that I've had on my TJ for a couple years now with the guide Chris posted (https://wranglertjforum.com/threads/wrangler-tj-gas-overflow-fix.244/). I found a video of the same fix was also helpful and it had a good tip to reinforce the replacement hose in order to prevent kinking.

After the fix, I topped off the tank and was happy to see the pump just click off without gas sputtering everywhere.

And while I was at it, I did my oil change for hitting 75k miles.

Thanks for reminding me I need to do this

If you plan on a new skid, wait and actually fix the problem.

I have the gas burping issue as well. Can you help me understand “actually fix the problem”. I have the referenced part above waiting for install. If there is a better fix, I’d like to know it.

Thanks.

Is it just me , or do lifted yj's look great ? For.some reason it works.

To the gentleman whose daughter had the wreck, we are thankful that child is alive . That was a serious lick. It strikes me the jeep being higher off the ground may have prevented her from a lot of the direct side impact ....that easily could have been fatal.

Stop and take a good look at her . That was close .
A lifted Jeep always looks better be it a TJ or a YJ. However a stretched Jeep looks even better

I love Texas! Spent time there in the USAF and visiting my son in Waco/Baylor. Nicest people ever (as demonstrated by your reply). North Carolina is very patriotic as well!

Lived in San Antonio for seven years, two Air Force assignments...loved my time in Texas. Now, I live in NC, love it as well. Like that we have four seasons, even though they can happen in a span of a week!

Lost the TJ today. ☹️ My daughter was on her way to church and got T boned. It flipped it onto the drivers side and slid off the road into a large Pine tree. Scattered parts all over. The factory roll bar / cage did it’s job. She is doing good after a short hospital visit. View attachment 55603View attachment 55604

Oh my goodness! So happy she is okay! Praise God and the TJ doing it’s job and protecting her. So sorry for the loss of your TJ.

Went on a trip. Left the TJ in the garage and took the one ton 94 on a 300 mile round trip up to Tennessee that included some of the best trails I have been on. Rode up there Saturday, avoided the highway, camped Saturday night, rode out Sunday back down to Alabama.
