Picture request: 32" tires and 2.5" lift

Thanks, just wondering cause I’m considering going stock. I kinda like the stock look with the top off. Just got a ‘97 TJ 2.4 4 cyl. Mostly used for cruising around town but would love to take it out on OHV trails. Not a commuter. No rock crawling now. May do a 2-2.5” lift. Just trying to sift through all these threads. Appreciate any direction or advice.

Here is the requested 32” tires

The 2” lift is sitting in a shelf in my garage

Time :eyeroll:

Edit: oh and the shocks... I’ve read more than once I can’t keep the stock shocks. I’ve even thought about some weird reinventing the wheel with upper and lower bumpstops

Too easy. Rancho RS5000x shocks on all four corners. I am confident that you will be glad you did.

I have 2.5" on 31s (265/70r16) with stock bump stops and 4.5" of backspacing they work like a charm. I imagine 32s would work just fine as well but if you go much wider you'd probably need flat flares

Rough Country. Planning on getting different ones in the near future. They work just fine off-road but they're pretty bouncy on the road

@Chris and a couple other people suggested I take a look at this thread started by @StG58 when I first joined. I’ve got 2.4l and there’s some really great information there that gave me a new perspective on my TJ.
Here’s the thread:

OME 2.5 , 1" body and mm, Skyjacker hydros (not keeping but fit perfect), rear track bar bracket, MC front track bar, and 33" Goodyear MTRs. Those Bushwackers make the tires look tiny, LoL. Still tweaking the set up but seems to behave pretty well on and off road. The shocks are a little stout for me and my bad back so I may go with the adjustable Ranchos.

I may be a little late to this thread but here is my question. I saw a comment earlier in the thread that a manual transmission with 3.73 gears and and 33 inch tires would be slow and 5th gear is essentially useless. I have a 2003 sahara with 206,000 miles and I am in the wishing/ planing stages at the moment. Its currently on the stock setup with 30X9.5x15 tires. I love the look but since everything must be worn out anyway would like to go with a 2.2.5 inch OME lift and slightly larger tires but I need to be able to go roughly 80mph up a 3% grade ( for about 50 miles) without it being a dog on the highway. will I be able to run 31 or 32's without a re-gear? Thanks in advance for the input.
