All Known Speaker Enclosure / Pod & Adapter Options

Added @JMT under rear seat sub box. Total count is up to 40 now so if I decide expand any further (more custom or under front seat options) will need to host pics again externally or get permissions to increase pic attachment.

Last but not least! 🤣

We’ve done this setup in two rigs:one with an 8” slimline and the other with a 10” slimline. Each had different cu ft volume. Both need the grille to keep the seat bottom away from the cone. Still love it. I’ve since covered the box with speaker carpet.

i'm installing and modding a 5.25" speaker pod. i have drilled a 1" hole for a reflex tube and heated a 1"x7" pvc pipe to conform and allow the fosgate speakers to fit. the jbl 4x6 speaker i put in it sucked.

genuine bass reflex. gonna post pictures. i am riveting the tubes to the pod and siliconing them.

when i can, i will post a new thread for the bass reflex 5.25" rockford fosgate speaker encosures.

the job is complete AND THE FRONT SPEAKERS are louder nd better balanced than the rear speakers of the same type. P152.

not only are they louder, and better balanced, but the bass response is 5000% better than the JBL 4x6 speakers i wasted my money on.

before i made this change, i had to turn the balance to full forward to even head the front speakers. it was crap. a waste of 53.00 lol. i certainly expected them to at least make GD SOUND!!!!!

the journey started when the stock radio finals burned out to just one rear speaker........my wife was finally done with the stock radio. i replaced it with ANOTHER STOCK radio lol.

i had to fix the wiring loom to all speakers and replace the stock radio. i replaced the rear speakers with the p152 and the front with jbl cheapies.....

i expected decent sound. what a waste of money and time. the rear fosgate speakers are pretty nice. the front were garbage so i actually looked into this forum for what the hell i can do so i can stand the stock radio.

i saw that 5.25" speakers in a hard enclosure fits, so i bought those things. when i saw that the enclosures were just solid with no reflex tubes and vents, that was not going to work.

so i looked at the fosgate mounting plate vent diameter and decided that 1" tubes were enough. obviously the speakers wont fit with1" pvc tubes, so i heated them with a heat gun until they cleared the speakers.

i drilled a 1" hole in the enclosure flush with bottom. i just placed it in the enclosure and screwed the speaker in. then assured it fits into the jeep.

it did easily and i wish i made the tubes 8" long instead of 7". it fits either way but the longer tube has better bass.

i riveted the tubes and siliconed them for air seal.

you need to hear it, but it has FAR BETTER bass than the rear which has the same speaker.

pictures to follow.

i can now actually turn the balance to the front ONLY and have better bass and overall sound than the rear.

there was enough room for 2" longer reflex tube. longer makes up for the diameter shortfall.

it AINT perfect, but it fits and works.

all of it is siliconed to seal.

Ya, that is my design. I posted about it on here somewhere, but I can't seem to find it right now. if you have any questions feel free to reach out. Happy to share my Fusion model if you want to make modifications.
I thought I recognized the username! I'm actually pretty please with the design so far, at least for the sub mount. I've not looked too close at the console tray yet but I don't foresee any complaints. By sheer luck I ordered the exact sub for that mount before I found your files. I've printed it out, and have the console tray printing behind me as I type. I may decide to revise the tray later though, to fit some specific tools. So I may take you up on your offer.

@Negreac could you add @gbirk's design to the list? that would have been a really handy bracket to find while I was looking. I'd imagine it will help someone else in the future.

The biggest problem I ran into is that the front mounting holes for the subwoofer are blocked by the hand break. I ended up just not installing them and it has been fine so far. You may be able to get around that with where you place the mount on the tub too. I had it back a bit to allow for a distribution block I had in front of it. That is also why it is tilted up like that. The sub mounts hanging over the fuse/distribution block I installed in front of it.

I'll have to take a look once I get that far tomorrow. I need to run power still, and validate my cables are long enough from the stereo.

Also, what coating did you go with on your floor? that looks phenomenal

what a bout the Bass reflex front speaker i posted. it sounds better than the rear speakers.

this is with a stock radio. imagine how it will sound with a 20 watt per channel stereo lol.

it sounds great.

nice list otherwize
