Daughter number 3 is visiting for Christmas and her birthday is just around d the corner.
She requested shrimp n grits and that's what she got.
Creamy cheese grits with bacon, peppers, onions, butter and broth to cook the shrimp.
Not a speck of filé powder to be found in Sicily, so I thickened the broth with a rough.
Finished it up with cheesecake. Swapped out 1/4 of the cream cheese for ricotta and cut the sugar by half. Perfect!
