So, I found a set of these Motive Gear Ten Factory axles for close to $200. I recently bought a set (Dana 30/35) 4.11 axles to possibly put in my Jeep Apex with the 32RH with the thought of going to 33" tires. My question is, are these axles worth considering? The Apex will not see any rock crawling or any difficult trails of any sort, primarily street driven with some hunting/camp trails.

Just for reference, here they are at Summit Racing:

If I had no locker and was doing dirt roads and on road driving I wouldn't bother spending the money personally

Yeah, my understanding is that the 35 should be ok under these circumstances, but if these will provide reasonably more strengh for a reasonable price, maybe they are worth throwing in while I change the fluid. After all, it's a pretty easy swap.

The 35 i purchased came out of a jeep that got itself a 44 swap. I'm not sure how it was treated before I got it....

I think you're correct , for what it's worth both of my daughters had street driven XJ's that had D-35 carrier issues , so the axles aren't necessarily the weakest link .

Believe I've read on here before that Chromoly shafts shouldn't be used with a Dana 35, because the bearing rides directly on the shaft and wears a groove. 1541H would be the recommended shaft.

Yeah, this is one of the thing I remember as well, I believe @Jerry Bransford said that, but I don't believe he is participating in the forum anymore.

Edit: found the links:

looks like the right choice is the 1541H due to the axle bearing style on the 35.
