Vehicles you don't see on the road anymore

Is that Trump?

Yep

Strictly speaking *I* didn't used to see these all over the road since I wasn't old enough to remember, but judging by how many people stop me like every single time I drive it to tell me they had one in high school (and they were the best selling car in the US 3 years running)....

I like the car but have no idea what generation it is. Anyone know what year this might be? Since I like it I assume it’s 20 or more years old as everything newer looks like ass.

As a number have noted, E30 M3. I think the E30 is the holy grail of 3 series Bimmers for many. I like the E36 and E46 as well, but these cars are smaller, simpler and I would quite like to own one. Doesn't need to be an M3, either, an E30 2 door or wagon would do just fine...since a 2002 turbo is unlikely...

Pretty cool , but sign me up for the 2002 Turbo ! Or even better yet a clone , all the fun with 10% of the worry !

Clone? Is this a kit car? It looks weird as hell

This was a photo of a real 2002 turbo , they built like 1675 of them , so they are rare . It's a little car with a 175 h.p. turbo 4 banger !
The flared fenders made it possible to fit bigger wheels and tires .

Here's a photo of a hot rodded 2002 , This is Cool ! And likely more fun than a real 2002 Turbo .

Honestly, the clone route would be fine by me, though the particular body kit on that red one doesn't do much for me (esp. that splitter). My attraction is the size and design aesthetics, I'd take anything from the 02 series with a slight preference for pre '74 tail lights. The body is quite clean yet elegant with a large greenhouse affording lots of glass.

Speaking of that, "clone" cars of any flavor have always been a thing of contention, like all of those damn "UPS-Z/28" and "Shelby" Mustangs and Cobras. :sneaky: Personally, I don't mind a "clone" or "tribute" 🤮 car, actually I've come to see value in them as they can be driven and can be monkeyed with, as long as they're not be portrayed as an authentic, real version of the model.
