Preventative maintenance while fuel tank is dropped?

hoping to drop my fuel tank very soon to install a new regulator, pump, and screens. but am curious what other wear items i should deal with?

i’m pretty sure there’s some kind of valve on the fuel neck which is why it sometimes clicks off at the gas station. i think id want to do that

any O rings or gaskets anywhere i should deal with? new filler neck? repaint anything?

i have a 2001 incase anything is year specific

Just the one gasket under the fuel pump assemble that should come with the assembly, otherwise everyting else is contained within the fuel tank proper. Just check the condition of the fill and vent hoses to the filler inlet assembly at the gas cap.

I found the new oring at the dealer, cheap too. I bought an OEM Bosch pump and fitted it into my original assembly.
Hint: lay your plastic ring on a dark surface in the Arizona sun while working on the other stuff and it will thread back on easier.

I got the Aluminum one from Harbor Freight and it has come in handy several times.

If you get an aluminum one you don't have to worry about painting

I got the Daytona jack and Daytona cross beam attachment. Remove the pads and screw on some plywood with pig mat for tank lifting.

It's a 06 4.0. Even the 05-06 tanks are different from the 03-04. From what I gathered.
