Even in Florida it gets cold!

'Cause the free wind is blowin' through your hair
And the days surround your daylight there
Seasons crying no despair
Alligator lizards in the air, in the air

America was exceptional.

One time I was sitting in church and somebody that was a former fairly successful rock guitarist was about to play a song and they were warming up and they did the intro to that …

He was so good later when I talked to him about it he didn’t even know he did it .

Hard to unsee Jon Snow on the album cover.

It gets surprisingly cold at night in the desert (lows around 28-34*), and I’ve enjoyed half doors and no windows for multiple years. For the cooler months, I keep a stash of extra layers in the trunk since days can be warm until sundown. Snowboard pants are comfortable and work well for warmth and cutting the wind.

As long as I’m buttoned up, I really enjoy driving with the rig open (I no longer desire another motorcycle to get that freedom feeling). Heated seats help, but mine don’t help nearly as soon as they would if the seats were cloth (due to the vinyl being a better insulator).

The high was about 86* today and it’s 59* out right now (low will be around 52*). The swings make it feel warmer and cooler than if the temps were more consistent.

I'm feeling the desert life. I'm tired of the cold and parking vehicles every winter.

I haven't had a hard top since my 2008 JK...
Have no problem managing the northeast winters with just the soft top and wear shorts 365.
39F last night. I'm packing to go camping with the TJ.

Ohio is about to see a 26 degree low on Monday.

It feels like last week we were canceling work due to the heat index.

You gotta remember that in the summer the overnight lows are in the 90s after the daytime highs are in the upper 110s. And this goes on for 5+ months.

Which is subjectively wonderful when compared to 5 months of nasty weather in northern Ohio. Depends which climate you are more ok with.

And 90* at night feels more like 80s where Cooper lives, but there can be nights when it stays closer to 100*, especially for folks in PHX.

IMO, daytime radiation is what makes things feel the most miserable in the southern AZ summer, but you get used to it if you stay covered (which is big reason why I run the soft top up even though I don't currently run windows). The airflow while driving helps a great deal.

Just like Ohio winters, AZ will have 1-3 week spans where the weather feels exceptionally brutal. There's a reason why snow birds are a thing for those lucky enough to experience the best of both locations.

For me, the best part of AZ (and out west in general) is the access to adventure.

The low humidity would probably make the 90's feel like 70's here at night.

I live on a mountain (not by western standard) and it will cool of nicely at night. Seems we always have a slight breeze to help out at night.

My one trip to Arizona, they had more rain in the 3 weeks before I was there than the 3 years before.

It was sweltering, the swamp coolers couldn't keep up.

Not just your opinion, it is a fact. I run the AC on Max and barely stay cool, but on the occasion when there’s a cloud blocking the direct sunshine, it starts to get chilly and I have to turn the fan down. Ambient air temperature is still the same, but the lack of direct sunshine makes a HUGE difference.

Just got back from a 3 week road trip Wed 4700 miles. 2 weeks in Wisconsin doing maintenance on my sister’s 130 yr old house. Fucking cold and windy. When I go back there I’m reminded why I left 46 yrs ago. Went down to Nashville for 5 days and it wasn’t much better. Luckily the Bars were nice and warm. Back in the 80s-90s here in SoCal. Our Winter starts next week highs in the 60s lows in the 40s with some rain.
My hardtop stays on all year. AC in the Summer heater in the Winter. Bikini top on my YJ because I’m too cheap to pay for a full canvas top after the original disintegrated.

Yea, it sure does. That damn sun just GLARES down - I try to stay out of it as much as possible.
