I’ve heard it talked about on here before and haven’t thought to learn more about it till now. Is this a viable option in substitution to a Dana 44? Or an 8.8? Or is it worth it to spend the extra and weld everything on and put the extra effort in?
Planning on 5.9 magnum
Auto
33’s
Comfortable daily and highway capacity with weekend off-roader

The Super 35 is a kit that changes your axle shafts from 27 spline to 30 spline. This is done with a new carrier and axle shafts. And by doing this you've got the same spline count axle shafts as a Dana 44. But what it doesn't do is increase the size of the ring gear.

If I was doing a V-8 swap I'd want a Dana 44 or 8.8 period.

Would you go hp44 Front and Rear or 8.8 rear and 44 front?

For 33 " tires there isn't any reason to go to a HP44 front.

As far as the choice between a Dana 44 or 8.8.... If prices for a Dana 44 from a TJ are cheap in your area I'd go that route but if like up here in the PNW where they command $1K or more I'd go 8.8..

No reason to do a HP axle in the rear unless you're doing lots of rock crawling. And a HP axle in the rear is 20-30% weaker than a LP axle in the rear.

They make Super 30 kits...

I have both a Super 30 and 35 with Eaton e-lockers.

But are either needed with 33" tires?

Again if doing a V-8 swap yes a larger rear axle is needed but I know more than one who is still running a Dana 30 front axle with a V-8... I don't think they did a Super 30 either but am not positive.

All depends on how you wheel 😁

Guess neither my 30 or 35 is technically "super".

I just installed 30 spline lockers and shafts in both without an official Super Kit :D

Hope I dont die.
