Good morning, New to working on Jeeps, so hoping for a little help here. I replaced my front hubs last week. When I come to a stop, the brake pedal vibrates, pushes back towards me and the steering wheel pulls to the left. What should I be looking for to try to fix this? Is it a problem with my left front or the right front?
Thank you in advance.

Outline all the work involved and everything you touched. Did you just replace the unit bearings and nothing else? Where did you purchase and what brand of unit bearing did you use?

As for the other problem, left or right, it depends on the root cause. If you have a dragging caliper on one side, it can be that side or it can be the other due to how brake pads respond to heat. Some work better when they are hotter so the dragging side will work better and cause a pull to that side, some work worse when they are hot so the other side pulls.

Morning. I replaced both front hubs with Mevotech hubs. Took off both front tires, calipers and rotors. Replaced the hubs and put everything back together. Brake pads looked good and didn’t need to be replaced.

How far did you push the caliper pistons in to remove them? Assuming you just slid them off the rotor and hung them back out the way?

How old are the soft lines to the calipers? Did you support the calipers while doing the work or did they hang from the soft lines?

That's an old wives tale Mac. The stock flex hoses are built to DOT standards which mean they have a minimum burst pressure of 3000 psi. More accurately, they are very similar to the high pressure hose from your power steering pump in that they are a high pressure hydraulic hose. Hanging the caliper from them will not hurt a thing.

Talked to my dad. He worked on the right front hub. He said that he had a problem with the piston on that side when he tried to out the caliper back on. . Didn’t have a c clamp but was able to push it in and slide on the caliper.

You can do some more diagnostics or get out the parts shotgun and throw a pair of calipers and flex hoses on it.
