Love it. I'm in the market for one as well. I'm eyeballing the 4 post lifts. I thought about putting it outside too, but I haven't decided yet.

I was a little concerned about the two post lifts at first but I am very happy with it. Takes a bit to get the 4 lift pads in the right place. It handles my Dodge diesel just fine. The older you get the further away the ground seems.

This is one of the reasons i'm considering a 4 post, I don't have to deal with setting the pads. They both have advantages and drawbacks. If money and space were no object, I'd have both lol

We have a 2 post and am considering getting a 4 post. My brothers Silverado 3500 crew cab dually with a utility bed is sketchy on the 2 post.
 
Completed applying the mat sound deadener to the passenger and drivers doors.
Went for a drive and the overall decrease in local road noise is quite noticeable when the radio is on; a lower radio volume setting and clearer richer audio.
What I also noticed is while holding a conversation with my brother; I can hear him much easier.
At highway speeds the road noise coming up thru the floor pan has been decreased where I can more easily hear the music coming from the front and rear speakers.
If you are driving the Jeep with no doors or top; I would expect that applying sound deadener would accomplish very little to no change.

Today I completed the sound deadening for both rear wheel wells.
Prior to today I had completed the cargo area floor, the foot wells between the rear seat and front seat, the transmission well, the foot well between the front seat and the firewall, and the area between the front seats and the door sills.
To sound deaden the hidden areas would require that I remove the seats, the seat belts, the carpets and the center console which would achieve nothing in the way of removing the remaining cabin noise.
The areas with sound deadening installed have removed a noticeable amount of road noise and now I can carry on a conversation with the passenger.

What's the final config? 2-4-O or? I take it locos from that far back didn't run sand domes? Either way, that's friggin' AWESOME!! Please share the backstory...
 
I removed the back seat and brackets again today. This time I marked them so I can put them back in the right way the first time. :cool:

Then I changed the oil and filter @ 167,150 miles !

The old filter looked like it may have been leaking. It was wet underneath and I don't see any from above. It was on gorilla tight - I didn't put that one on. I put the new one on by hand, so it should be just a bit less than gorilla tight...maybe. 🦍

Its a 4-4-0 45" drivers. Lead truck isn't under it in this picture. Domes are not on it and their is no boiler jacket at this point. I am building it for a museum. It was a hobby that got way out of hand. Really am having more fun playing with my 4 squirrels.
