Started on this before going away for the weekend for work.
These two look like good candidates for welding on a nut to remove?

Drove it to the store after being in Florida for the week. Got to see the Blue Angels practice twice and went to several beaches to collect shells. Great time with my wife and my brother and sister in law.

I discovered the previous owner of my son's jeep rerouted the vent for the front differential when they installed the lift kit. They routed it along the other side of the axel and zip tied it to the passenger side lower control arm.

This weekend I replaced it with a longer hose and ran it up to by the top of the radiator where it is supposed to be. I also discovered the old hose had a large hole in it & had been there long enough for dirt daubers to build a nest.

Needless to say, I went ahead and ordered the gasket and oil to change the fluid in the differential in the near future.

I replaced the vent too. The old one was missing the cap.

You'll have to drill those all the way out. There is a bracket on the other side you can see. There's no saving that. Just fab up some new ones.

Just curious. Did these random shells float up on the beach?
p.s. Saw the Blue Angels several times in VA/DC.

Two of those people would never be included in that statement for me (wife/sister in law) .
p.s. My only two brothers live within 3 miles of me. We talk a total of one hour a year (Christmas with one of them). I haven't talked to my oldest brother in over 5 years (TRUE).
p.p.s. I try not to ever talk to my wife, but she talks for hours anyway. Unfortunately, I'm forced to listen when trapped inside my Jeep on a long drive.

Put the windows back in today.

Sold the JK to pay off some bills and now I'm waiting on my first social security check the 12th of next month.

I got my SS early because of health issues. Now, I wish I would have claimed more income from being self-employed for 40 years. Never thought I would live this long. My brother said it's because, "only the good die young."

Yeah, that will need a nut welded on. For some reason I thought you were referencing the tub side.
