I wonder why the Eagle(s)weren't given more thought as fleet vehicles. It's well documented that 5 guys could ride in a compact AMC, even if one was about to spew. Sounds like cop car material to me.

I'm thinking you're absolutely right, but not just for air drops. I showed it to my old man and he said they used them for lifting the M151on and off ships too. Which by the way, is where the independent suspension axles came from.Parachute connection points , then air drop .
