Got samples of Caltrend seat covers and I noticed that the Sportstex is a lot thicker than the Duraplus. I tend to think "thicker must be better" BUT I'm wondering if the DuraPlus might make it easier to sllide in & out, whereas the Sportstex might be too much friction and kind of "catch" your clothing. Also, does the Sportstex wear more quickly from pet paws? I saw a close up picture somewhere that looked like the top layer was kind of pilled and worn through. Thoughts?

I have CalTrands in my 99 F250. The good. Thick durable material like in your left pic. The bad. I think they fit like poorly. Baggy/sloppy fit and the bottoms are constantly sliding to the front of the seat regardless of how snug the bottom straps are. I would not buy them again.

How long ago did you order them?

They have been in the truck for about 2 years, maybe a tad longer. The material is plenty thick which likely makes the seams pretty bulky which is part of the ugly/sloppy factor. BTW, I just looked on caltrends site and I have the Duraplus covers. I wonder if anyone makes a new OEM type cover for the TJ where you actually remove the old material and install new.

The caltrends in my tj fit great.

O.P. I chose a different material,I can't help there. I would ask caltrend which is more UV resistant and run with that

I followed the link and that pic of the black covers on the TJ look great, way better than my covers. Id say that version is the way to go.
