97 TJ with 4.0, 32RH, and 3.07 open diffs. Just added 31x10.50r15 BFG AT KO2's. It does ok but clearly a little doggy compared to the 235/75r15 tires I had on it.

Looks like a reasonable option is junkyard 4.10/4.11 axles from another TJ. I would like to keep my ABS. If I find 4.10/4.11 front and rear axles from a non-abs TJ, is the swap as simple as just adding the tone ring to the non-abs axles?

i dunno, i am gonna try my ABS out this winter and think hard about that. Makes me nervous not having it!

I think its possible, but youd may need to change out quite a bit more. For the front you may need new knuckles to accept the wheel speed sensors, and possibly new front out axle shafts. You can buy the tone rings for front/rear separate so no issue there. Cool the outer axle shaft, heat up the tone ring to mount it. For the rear similar issue, make sure the 4.1 axle drum brake backing plates can mount the wheel speed sensor and check if the axle shafts have the flat machined in to accept the tone ring. Only other thing I can think of is your non-abs axles wont have the brackets for the wheel speed sensor wiring which is fairly minimal. Check all those things on the 4.10 axles and see whats needed.

So, I certainly think its possible but from a cost and time aspect it may be better to just regear and keep your current axles. IMO a 3.73 looks like a better RPM option for the 32RH if you daily the jeep at all at highway speeds. If you had the AX15, 4.10 would be more ideal.

My TJ was a base model. Surprised it even had AC that worked. No ABS in the Ohio winters. I don't think ABS would've made much of a difference 99% of it is tires and driving style anyways. Is it a good thing to have? Yes. Would ABS be my sole roadblock from getting out of 3.07's on 31's? Hell no.

Is a regear at a Jeep shop out of the question?
