Ring gear holes don’t line up

My problem is the ring gear is stuck and won’t come off the carrier and I can’t thread a screw in to hammer on it
Punch stuck down into some of the lined up holes and hammer it down will get the gear off easily.
It's just set down wrong, they're all off in the same direction
Yeah I misjudged the pic at first. Just gotta hammer it off gently and reset. Easy.
Not even. Put a punch in a hole or flat spot and just tap it off. Not a big deal at all.

I was thinking put 2 studs in the carrier to align the ring gear as it’s set in place.

Installed a ring gear this evening all by hand, no heat and no press. I don’t know why anyone would need a press to install a ring gear. The heat I can understand but I’m too lazy to do that.
If OP is doing gear work, he probably has a press or he at least should have access to one. Doesn’t mean he needs it to install a ring gear though.

I didn't use a press on my ring gear when I did my gears over the winter. They must be threatening to explode
