Wheel / Tire Dilemma

Mind you the Jeep isn’t daily driven. It’s a summer vehicle, mainly town driven.

Being that you don't seem to put a lot of miles on it, you're going to benefit from new tires longer. The old tires are going to dry out sooner and reach end of service sooner. Many tire shops (especially chains) won't even work on tires beyond a certain date, say 10 years or so.
 
Is this from tirerack? I’m in Canada so my access is like quattrotire or 4tires. So 4tires sure 33x10.5 is 450$/tire Canadian of course.

The 33x10.5R-15 BF Goodrich on Ravines here. If you can find them, Rubicon fender flares are an inch wider than the Sport flares. 1.25 Spidertrax spacers with a 2.0" lift . . . works well. Also from western Canada.

? I don’t think the spacers are needed for 10.5” wide tire.

33x10.5-R15 KO2s on 15x8 rims with 3.75" BS. I'm running 2-2.5" lift OME springs that netted ~2.7" of lift + a 1.25" body lift.

Tires stick out just under 1.5" past the stock flares. No rubbing under any conditions. Rubicon/Sahara flares would just about cover the tires. Rough Country also now makes flares that are the same width as the Rubicon/Sahara flares.

32”x11.5” on ravines. Without 1.25” wheel spacers they definitely rub on the control arms. It’s said you can adjust bolts on the knuckles to stop the rub but I’ve had no luck with that. I love the turn radius too much to restrict it by adjusting that.

No experience but I’ve read that skinny tires are better to cut through the snow and get down to ground and get traction. I’m guessing you get a bit of snow up there.

Snow isn’t a concern for me. This jeep is a garage queen and summer cruiser. Hence why I was considering those new old stock tires lol that are 12years old..

I’m a bit confused by this thread and all the talk that people don’t rub with 33x10.5 but do with 32x11.5. I understand the wider tire gets closer to control arms, but shouldn’t the taller tire also reach further and get close to the arms? I’ve seen guys like @SSTJ say their 30’s even rub with the 8” wide wheels…so to say a 33x10.5 doesn’t seems shocking when it’s an inch wider and 3 inches taller, reaching 1.5” further forward or rearward.

I guess those with 33x10.5 that don't rub must have aftermarket rims with less backspacing.

My rear axle is centered with an adjustable track bar. My 32/11.5/15 tires on stock canyon rims wouldn’t even mount on the axle without spacers

Tires hitting the lower front control arms does the same thing.
