About 6 months ago my passenger side front brake caliper stuck but I noticed it was pulling before it got really hot. I ended up replacing both front calipers and pads with all new parts. I completely flushed the brake fluid at the time and then again about a month later due to doing stuff w/the back brakes. I believe in clean brake fluid :)
Well, yesterday I took the jeep out and the same caliper(position) stuck/seized again. I'll replace it but can anyone think of anything beyond coincidence that would have the same position caliper seize after just a few months? I know that doesn't make sense...the brakes have been perfect till this happened. It does ease up a bit but still drags.
Also, I remember chosing the replacement calipers with plastic pistons thinking they might be less likely to have issues because this jeep is just a weekend toy and sits in the barn a lot. I didn't base that on hard data...who knows.

Did you replace the rubber brake hoses? They can degrade internally and not release the pressure after letting off the brake pedal, which causes the piston to stay clamped onto the rotor.

With only one side doing it after a relatively new install, that's where I would start.

Well...I hadn't thought of that for sure. A legit concern for old brake lines but these are maybe two years old or so. I put new extended lines on when I did the 4" lift.
