I recently purchased a 2005 Wrangler X (painted as a Willys, 127k miles) with what I believe to be a 4.5" lift kit based upon the Rusty's Offroad part numbers on the shocks (R36s and R13s). The lift kit itself appears to be a Skyjacker brand. The rear of the vehicle seems to be a little lose on corners and bumps, manifesting itself with a floating/uneasy feeling. The shocks show no signs of leaks, and their bushings appear to be good. I was thinking of replacing the control arm and track bar bushings in the rear as a start. Any insight or advice folk here could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Shocks, sway bar, track bar is where I'd start. Its not perfect, but give the shocks the old jounce test to see if they're working. After that, look at all of your connections and bushings. It may help to just push the vehicle side to side (while sitting still) and see what happens or if you hear any noise.

It is. But I can make it move side to side by grabbing the end/drop link and pulling. Could be those bushings.

There are six bushings in the sway bar. If they are worn, there will be a lot of extra uncontrolled movement. Same if the four rear shock bushings are worn out.
