Well I finally bought a TJ and looking at the Currie 4 inch lift. Probably doing a 1 inch body to accommodate a 5.3 LS and a 6L80E tranny. I'm thinking 35's but not sure on width or wheel size, width, and offset. Is there a preferred offset to prevent rubbing or is that something I should even be concerned with?

By the way I still haven't picked it up in Tennessee yet I'm out of the country on business travel. But it will be in my possession the first week of August. Gotta love this Internet thing.

Yeah I've read that thread and am doing the sye and shaft. I'm also doing a full all around power stop set of brakes and calipers with ceramic pads. Regearing I'm keeping my ear to the ground on. The one I bought is a 5 speed so still evaluating the gearing. We just did all this to my buddies sons F150 in luding rebuilding the diffs. So no labor just parts. I'll have to get a close look at the wheels and tires on the one I am buying, they aren't stock so maybe I luck out.

Any particular reason? Ive used power stop on all kinds of vehicles and had great results. I'm open to changing but need some input.

@mrblaine put a lot of time and product development into building an excellent product that's proven to work.

I've got Power Stop on my F250 and love them. But they seem to be a large truck oriented company.

Plenty of cases on the forum...use the search function.

So also I know this will start a debate to come degree of opinions. Id rather hear from people that have owned or experience with these lift kits. I have been looking at the Clayton lifts for around 2900. I know everyone around here is just about the Currie or Savvy lifts but they are over a thousand dollars higher. Has anyone had real life experiences with a Clayton lift good or bad?

If it is a Rubicon, it came with 44s.

That's what I read but most was sketchy do k was holding my breath. I also read it came with 4 wheel disc brakes is that true as well? I'm going to rebuild the front and rear diffs is there any special worthwhile upgrades I should read about?

yes, it has disk brakes. Unless the diffs are having issues, no need to rebuild them. But, since you want 35s, it would be the right time to regear if you are going to disassemble them.

Run your VIN and get a build sheet then you'll know what it should have. https://fcagroup.my.site.com/RAM/s/equipment-listing

So I am in the air on gearing. It has the 5 speed but at some point I'm swapping to a 5.3LS with a 6L80E transmission so I need to look at the gearing in both and see how close the 5 speed is to the 6 speed automatic. I'll take any advice on this as well. Nice on the vin link thank you

So gearing on the 6L80E
First gear — 4.027
Second gear — 2.364
Third gear — 1.532
Fourth gear — 1.152
Fifth gear — 0.852
Sixth gear — 0.0667
Reverse — 3.064

Gearing on the Rubicon 5 speed
1st Gear: 4.01:1
2nd Gear: 2.32:1
3rd Gear: 1.44:1
4th Gear (Direct Drive): 1.00:1
5th Gear (Overdrive): 0.79:1

Any suggestions? My uses will be general off roading nothing spectacular except 2 weeks a year I go to Utah and run with the side by sides. Might do a Cali trip and run with some friends but won't be regular. Rest of the time I live 6 miles from work I'll drive back and forth. I do want it to drive moderately at highway speeds for short distances. Anywhere I take it will be on a trailer with my Harley and 4 wheeler.
