2003 Jeep TJ 4.0 auto has no dash gauges and transmission is stuck in limp mode

Aloha, Steve here. My wife and i have owned a few XJs and currently have a YJ and Tacoma. On to the new to us 2003 Jeep TJ Wrangler X. just got the jeep a few weeks ago PO said everything great gauges dont work. $2400. he dropped it off at the house and here the adventure begins. didnt look to bad. except trans was hanging down quite a bit.. PO says i didnt have time to put on skid and trans mount ill drop it off with extra cluster. ok cool. Np231 out put shaft was bent installed my spare with SYE. Installed backup cluster same thing start up jeep no gauges all lights work. brake, seatbelt, Ck Eng, dimmer works. Ckd all fuses and redid grounds on Eng block and eng firewall. installed big seven wiring kit. Ckd power and grounds and 5 volt reference to and from PCM all good PCM inputs 12.34v, 5 volt ref 5.149v, Grounds 0.00 to 0.01 Ohms. R2 all sensors CPS, Cam pos(also synched cps n cam), IAC, TPS, MAF, Speed, oil press, water temp. Battery is new as of 5/25 battery sensor reads randomly. also r2 ignition switch and keys lock cylinders(needed 2 keys) changed combo switches on top of steering column. codes ive pulled from foxwell are P1687 no Cluster bus message. B0042 2-4 sol circuit(r2 solenoid pack n range sensor for limp mode no change). changed range sensor because trans temp from range sensor was 850 degrees now its -83 degrees. lol. p1000 no cluster message. PO455 Evap large leak detected(gas skid was rotted so changed it and evap hoses and new delphi fuel pump unit. codes gone. last code is P1698 No ccd/j1850 message from TCM. I purchased one of those cheap digital dash board readers that plugs in to data port and all gauges work on it rpm, oil, tmp, volts, fuel, speed. at wits end lol any help appreciated. if data port has all that info does it mean PCM is good to go? im fuzzy on how the data busses work. also pulled all sensors one at a time to see if data bus would come back.. no joy
 
If the fuel skid was rotten how does the rest of the frame look?

Have you checked all the grounds? Maybe unplug the PCM and check the pins for corrosion?

rotted / beat to crap lol .. its got rust in all the normal spots. gonna redo/weld a couple body mounts maybe 3/10 on rust. i think the fuel skid didnt have any drain holes.
unplugged all 3 pcm plugs had some dialectric grease no corrosion contact cleaned all and hit the with some dry silicone lube. PCM to ground ohms 0.01but i havent taken her off the wall to knock the crud off the back. For grounds on eng block i removed and cut all grounds and put them back on thier own terminals instead of that one ground terminal that had 6 wires in one crimp. Does anyone know what the EATX relay is? is it the transmission control relay just labled diffrently? got these relays installed and noticed on start EATX lights up then when engine is running relay is off

since i cant leave stuff alone lol while changing the valve cover gasket and waiting on paint to dry i decided to take pcm out to look inside... @ Mark, Steve from Hawaii talk to you week or so ago... my son noticed the pcm cover pulling up at the bottom we opened it to this mess... few things broken shorted cracked in half. what yall think repairable? lol

since i cant leave stuff alone lol while changing the valve cover gasket and waiting on paint to dry i decided to take pcm out to look inside... @ Mark, Steve from Hawaii talk to you week or so ago... my son noticed the pcm cover pulling up at the bottom we opened it to this mess... few things broken shorted cracked in half. what yall think repairable? lol

I need the ecm in house in order to determine what’s going on with it. The current turnaround time is one to two days on diagnosis. 🐊

Foxwell now says trans temp 152 degrees sitting at idle about 20 minutes, also show gear shifting P is park R shows reverse applying reverse... N shows neutral applying neutral- .. D(drive says first gear?) is this correct? low says first gear and moving from low to 2nd gear still says first gear. may have to bolt up a seat temporarily to see if it shifts. drove around the block first loop trans shifted to second then stayed in second, flagged trans temp state Hot Trans. trans temp showed 147 degrees stuck in second rest of the way. (limp mode) wife says she thought she saw ck eng light flash.

The M1 & M2 still start in 1st, but tell you the highest numbered gear it will shift into. Put it into D to get 3rd & OD.

147F is not anything to worry about, not sure about the “hot trans” report.

did the quick relearns in my foxwell scanner. took it for a spin around the block starts off in first now shifts smooth to second. Then that it ck eng light comes on and stuck in second gear. pulled this code B0031 OD hydraulic pressure test fail. also just noticed no speedo.. must have been out yesterday too.
Cant find a good description of this code/write-up in jeep wranglers any help appreciated

got speedo working, i didnt clock it correctly the first time. got a clean code for TCM. P0870 transmission fluid pressure sensor/switch "C" circuit
