I wrapped up a home carpentry project yesterday and had a few drops of wood left over, so I made a box to fit behind the back seat so that I can organize basic road gear (tire repair materials, lug wrench, jack, etc.) if I need to carry passengers.

Again, it was built using leftover pieces of wood. Maybe it'll give somebody here in an idea.

I plan to purchase a pair of rollbar saddle bags, as well (pictured below). Can't find the Bestop brand here, but there is another brand on amazon.mx that seems to have decent reviews. Maybe between the box and the bags, I'll be able to carry most of what I need on the trail.

My friend has those bags in his JKU, they seem useful, but I was worried they'd obstruct too much of your vision in a TJ. So I ended up with the saddlebag style that aren't so tall

I thought about blind spots, too, but I will almost never drive this thing on pavement, and I can always remove them if I need to have better vision. I use convex mirrors on my side mirrors, so that helps.
