What did you do to your TJ today?

I love driving my jeep with the doors off for 9 months out of the year but today wasn't one of them. Fumbled my phone out onto the highway while getting Bluetooth set for music. 🤦‍♂️ had to spend half the day getting a replacement....

Damn that's funny. That's what you get for using your phone while you drive I guess 🤣

I know a JK driver that did that just hours after buying a new phone.

This is the exact concern I had that caused me to switch from left-side pocket for my phone to right-side pocket when I first got the Jeep...

You're not alone. Years back, a buddy of mine had his phone play shuffleboard along the top of the dash and out the door opening on a left-hand turn...

My phone fell off my fender just now, and then my oil pressure sender socket rolled off the fender and onto the floor…I don’t know how it missed my phone screen.

I knew better than to get an expensive phone but i did anyway... I break them in half or run them over with a tractor at least once a year.
It's too bad that no one made an audio system that had controls mounted directly on it .

Yeah, yeah.i know. My stereo doesn't always link to my phone.i was in a hurry and didn't check before taking off.

Also, what kind of idiotic scale does this gauge have? 0 - 100PSI with a clear middle tick that isn't actually in the middle. There are 3 ticks below and 4 above. So each tick is ~11psi? Brilliant.

I believe the larger tick is the 1/2 way point (so your pressure is closer to 50 psi).

It makes sense once you realize 10 psi does not have a tick…they decided to only shade that area in for some reason.

The gauge looks more normal from 100 psi on up.

Nope. Each small tick is 10 psi. Each large tick is 50 psi. The first tick is 20 psi. The gauge is reading just below 50 psi in the picture. Skipping the first tick or two is common with pressure gauges because they are inaccurate in the beginning of the gauge.

Spent the day yesterday replacing the front axle U Joints, Hub/Bearing assemblies, and new Rotors and Pads. I didn't snap any bolts, they came out fine with some heat, but it took about 1,000 total swings of a mini 3 lb sledge to separate the hubs from the steering knuckles and to get the U Joints out of the yokes. That kicked my ass, but it's done. Long overdue.

Ugh that sucks. Back in the day when we used windshield mounted GPS, my friend and I were on the highway driving through Vermont in his truck. The GPS fell off the windshield, bounced off the dash and went right out his open window. 🤦‍♂️ We found it and it somehow still worked but the screen was scratched to hell.

I got in a bunch of interior screws from DeadJeeps to replace all the missing ones in my TJ to hopefully cut down on all the squeaks and rattles. By my estimate about 70% of them are missing, so it seems promising.

I got all the screws back in and it is an amazing difference. For the life of me I cannot figure out why they had all the screws missing, but I'm glad I'm not running it that way anymore and losing my mind from the random squeaks and rattles.

Nothing exotic. Finally found a house. Closed on it last Friday. Spent all day today getting electric, water, etc. But, finally, I was able to get my LJR out of storage! After seven months. Of course the battery was dead — no bringing it back. Got a new batt and away we went. It was pouring rain the entire time, but there was an O'Reilly's about a block away. All good now.

bought another cheap oil pressure sensor for daughter's jeep. If this one dies in the near term, i'll return it and bite down and get the mopar. Currently sitting above 40psi on the gauge, when I give it gas it gets near 80 on the gauge. 80 seems unlikely, but now I'm kicking myself for not revving it while I had the mechanical gauge plugged in.

Speaking of which, I guess you're supposed to just hang the thing up and let the oil drain out of the hose once you're done? Same for if I use it to check my fuel pressure? Just let a column of gas run out? Or am I better off lighting my MAP torch and burning it off as it runs out? :p

When I use my compression gauge I do let the air run out of the hose before packing it up, so maybe you do need to
