Being in Illinois, you need to post pictures of the frame as that is going to have the highest impact on your value.

Lots of vehicles from that area are Salty Dogs and the frames are shot.
Thank you! I’ll try to get some good pictures of the frame. Anywhere specific or just some pictures of the frame?

I suggest selling those half doors separately. If the doors are rust free and in good condition you can easily get $700.

Once you post pics of the frame we can give you a more accurate valuation assessment.

Do you have the full doors? It would be a hard sell if you offer it with no doors.

Definitely do some local research.

$15K in CA may not correlate to IL. Look in the want ads for your area for a similar Jeep and work from there.

I would def do my research on what your local market would support. That's over priced in my area. I paid 10k for mine with a frame that I think is in much better condition. But if your local area will support that price, then that is what you should sell it at. It can be tricky, becuase sometimes you can get a higher price from a buyer willing to travel, but then you have to spend more time waiting for that buyer.

In my mind, right now the TJ market is either going to be enthusiast or people who want a cheap Jeep who couldn't finance a JK and have some cash.

I just paid $10K for a completely rust free, well modified, albeit high mileage, ‘05 in marvelous condition. Before buying it locally I was shopping nationwide and there didn’t seem to be a significant difference between different locales.
