What book are you reading?

Looks good, ordered a used copy off Amazon.

I'm currently re-reading what is - to my mind - the most wonderful book ever written: JRR Tolkien's "The Silmarilion". Its been a couple or three years since I last read it, I get more out of it each time.

Haven’t read Silmarillion in more than 20 years. It was difficult then..

I assume you seen all the pictures and video put out a few years ago. Looks to be in remarkable condition.

I have! The story just absolutely draws me in every time. Documentaries are the best. Movies about it are also good, though I prefer "the real deal" (documentaries) every time. Books on it are great, as well. And the photographs...just incredible!

I'm a fan of Sci-Fi books.

I like most of the stuff by Larry Niven, the book series for The Expanse is good as is the TV series (though of course the books are better), and I like some of the Heinlein stuff. Alan Dean Foster has some good ones too (The I Inside is very good).

Most recent read was Logan's World.

I always liked Logan's Run and re-read it to prepare for the sequel from the same author which I only recently found out about.

I can only assume that the author got a bad batch of drugs or something, because where Logan's Run was an entertaining read, Logan's World was a miserable slog.

It was so bad I almost believe it had to have been ghost written.

After I read "Endurance", I want to go back and reread "Kon-Tiki". I read it back when I was maybe 9 or 10-years-old, and have been meaning to read it again. Huh, I just realized that for a guy who doesn't swim or like being on the water, I sure do enjoy nautical-themed stories. Weird.

How about Farmer? Love me some Philip Jose Farmer!

If you like nautical stories, nothing beats "Two Years Before the Mast" - a classic read and a very good one.

Another book that I recently reread was "Alas, Babylon". I think I've read it three or four times. A favorite, for sure, though perhaps considered overly simplistic by today's standards.
