Hoping someone can help me. I replaced my thermostat because it wasn’t coming to temp. I only say this because that is the only thing that I’ve touched since this issue started happening. When idling my jeep will sputter like it’s trying to stall out. This happens occasionally while it’s in park, but mostly when I am in drive and stopped at a red light. if I throw it in neutral after it starts to sputter and rub it, it will idle fine. You can imagine how frustrating this is during stop and go traffic. It has stalled out on me a couple of times pulling into the driveway. So far I have cleaned the throttlebody and the IAC. I have also checked the spark plugs and the wires, the distributor cap and the ignition coil are brand new as is the fuel pump. I have also replaced all the vacuum lines. If anybody has any ideas, I would really appreciate it. I am attaching a link to a video that I took of it Sputtering in park. Video

I’d prioritize checking the ECT sensor first. A faulty ECT (coolant temp sensor) can trick the ECU into thinking the engine is colder (or hotter) than it is.
The ECT sensor tells the ECU the engine temperature. If it's faulty or not properly reconnected after the thermostat job, the ECU might think the engine is colder (or hotter) than it is, causing poor idle and fuel mixture issues. Especially given that the only change before the issue started was the thermostat replacement, and now you're experiencing sputtering and stalling at idle,

However, if the ECT checks out, then yes, I’d look at fuel-related issues next.

If you have an OBD2 scanner, check fuel trims (STFT & LTFT) at idle and cruising—this can reveal if it’s a fuel issue.

And rub it? You get out at traffic lights and rub it and get frustrated?

What's your endgame today? Between the odd advice you're giving people and this, why are you picking fights and being disagreeable? Especially on a thread from 3 weeks ago? You're 36 years old, dude.

Did you just blame me for picking fights and picked one? Stalking me to multiple sections and questions? You are doing the exact thing you are pretending im doing. Its called a joke. Im sorry you cant comprehend it like your own hypocrisy. Go away...

You do realize your activity gets pushed to the top of our feeds, right? You make "jokes" in multiple threads, so they stack on the feed. You say "go away" like you didn't get clowned for doing this exact thing in multiple threads. Still, this thread is over a month old. It's weird.

"Go away..."
