Good Afternoon All,

Wanted to get opinions on the cost of this AEV built LJ. Of course I love what I am seeing - but wanted others in this forum to weigh in. Would you pay $45k?

Here is high level detail:

it’s a nice Jeep. I have seen AEV rigs go for more and less. If it’s AEV name you want and you also want an LJ, I don’t see why you wouldn’t consider this. I have seen people drop well over 45k for a V8 swap. If you see this as the Jeep for you, I can’t see it being a bad deal. Just don’t buy it with the intention of turning it around and selling it. Less AEV buyers than LJ buyers.
i have seen stock 4.0 LJ go for same price with more miles.

Be a hard pass for me. Bumpers, rockers, suspension would all be pulled off for better parts. Motor would be nice, but IMO that’s all it has going for it…. With that motor I would want different axles also.

Appreciate it - I have seen others in this forum and others with the same stance as well.

TY for the insight. My intentions are to have an LJ to hold on to for a long time.

I see a jeep with a hemi swap and a decent winch. Otherwise it looks pretty untastefully modified. Couldn’t pay me to run that crap.

Nice looking. I like the low miles, color and hemi. The best thing about the AEV stuff to me are the highline hood and front fenders. Bummer that it doesn't have those. I don't like those big, heavy bumpers or the long arm and agree stock axles would need to go with the V8. If I bought it, I'd be paying $45K for a frame, tub, interior and motor.

yall down there hve it so good. lj here is stupid expensive.

Definitely pass on that AEV Jeep. It's nice, but I'd have a hard time going over $20K for anything with stock axles. It still has the OEM fenders. Rails and bumpers would be tossed. I'm a bit shocked that a dealer would even have that Jeep. Definitely a hard vehicle to sell. I'll assume it belonged to the owner because I don't see how they would take it in on a trade.

If you like anything about it, you'd be better off finding a near stock LJ and build it how you want.
