I actually went there once with the wife around twenty years ago. We were in the Cutlass convertible going to The Pavilions car show. I had backed into a space right in front of Neiman Marcus and forgot I had activated the ignition kill switch. Pump gas, crank, crank, crank, crank, crank, crank, crank, crank, no start. The wife was getting embarrassed at this point. Then I remembered to flip the switch. Crank, crank, BOOM! It backfired out the dual exhaust, and since I was backed in, it rattled the Neiman Marcus windows so hard I thought they would break. The wife was on the floorboard hiding as we drove away.
I remember going to the Pavillions car show over a decade ago and there was this one guy there with a Mitsubishi Eclipse that he had put a turbine engine in (like the Batmobile). When that thing fired up it was insane!
I keep my duck in the console and don't get it out unless I park by a duck collector.
Last year a friend who was behind me at the Point of Entry bought a styrofoam duck wearing a Stetson from a street vendor and gave it to me. When I got home I installed it on my antenna and proceeded to beat it to death on the highway. It's pretty beat up now but it's sitting on my workbench and I'll put it back on the antenna and hope to finish it off on this years trip back to Mexico.
If he buys me a replacement I may have no choice but to tie it to the trailer hitch with about 18" of string.
