Anybody up for a random meme dump?

The only time I've seen one of these in person it was 5' from my front bumper

They tend to be pretty sly so they've probably seen you more. I've seen maybe a dozen here in Oregon in the last 20+ years. Most memorably, surprised a big one on a mountain bike trail a few years back. I was within less than 15 feet of him. Full size muscular adult male. Easily as heavy as me. Beautiful animal. Glad to have seen him and lived!

Oh yeah I would definitely believe that. That is freaky. Good thing he wasn't hungry! I think I might rather run into a pack of coyotes or wolves than a wild cat they are soo strong and fast

I'd much rather run into Arnold Schwarze-Kitty than a pack of wolves... Bonus points if you know the movie reference

I've run into big kitties with murder mittens the size of dinner plates a couple times in my back country adventures... They were always more than happy to run in any other direction but towards me. Wolves on the other hand... I've had one stare me down when I was on a smowmobile then thought it was a good idea to start walking towards me.... I assured him it was indeed not a good idea for him to do so...

Coyotes don't worry me too much. Wolves are intimidating. Mountain lions are mostly non-confrontational (the exception seems to be the hungry juvenile that hasn't really figured out hunting yet and can get desperate).

Yeah coyotes are definitely not scary, I agree. I definitely made that statement with no knowledge - and there aren't actually wolves by me so it's easy to say lol.

Fun to wonder how many times my dog transfer case has been barking at a cat I didn't see
