Another Seat Base Topic

I've searched and read for the last 3-4 days and can't find what exactly I'm looking for.

I got a set of '03-06 fold and tumble bases for my '00 to lower the PRP seats back down closer to my stock height. I've not received my PRP seats brackets yet for the '03+ bases so I've not put the seats on them. However, taking measurements on the '03+ bases and comparing them to the stock bases in my '00, they are the same height from the from mounting flange to the top of the slider (4-3/8"). I can confirm that I do indeed have the '03+ brackets.

So what gives? How is the '03+ seats 1" lower? Is it the seat itself that is lower?

I have the Enduro Trek with the upgraded foam and heaters. I like the bolster on the sides being lower. With the upgraded foam, the center of the seat is raised. It helps keeping me from sliding.

How are you liking them? I'm between those and the Trail still. Going to be doing full custom so it's expensive and I want to be happy with them

I love them. I can sit in them all day without fatigue. PRP seats are worth the cost. Everyone I wheel with has them and says the same thing. The only thing I wish I'd gotten was the manual lumbar support. I plan on calling PRP Monday to see if I can buy them and add it to my seats. The heaters are smoking hot and don't require a relay. I chopped up the PRP heater wiring to use with my custom switches.

I also have PRP 4.3 harnesses and love them. I took out the OEM seat belts.

You'll need to push them as far as possible to the center of the Jeep. They will need to be as close as possible to the center console that will still allow it to open.

I've read that they are a tight fit in a TJ. Any issues reclining once they're in? Could be critical for trail naps lol

I have harnesses because I take mine off road on some pretty good trails and have had the OEM seatbelts either lock when they shouldn't or not lock at all.

No issues reclining all the way back. The only issue I had was the lower rear corner hitting the roll bar on the lower outer rear of the seat. I need to move them to the center another 1/4" (1/2" total) so the seat clears the harness bar. Right now it slightly rubs it and is annoying.

If you plan to add a harness bar the seats won't be able to recline.

Not until I get the seat brackets from PRP, hopefully today if FedEx wants to drive down my driveway. I've still got the seats in the vehicle currently.

I'm more curious if anyone knows how the '03+ seats are lower since the brackets seem to have the same dimensions (not comparing them side by side).

Came across this thread about prp enduro trek seats which I'm looking at getting for my tj at some point and I was wondering how the seat heaters are and if they are worth it . I'm debating with the pair I want either to do the heated and cooled or just the heated ones or just not do it at all so price will be lower because the 2 seats plus mounts are crazy expensive but worth it which majority of people say

The heaters work amazing. I have ran doors and top off in late fall and never got cold, because of the seat heaters. Several I know that have the heaters in their PRP seats wheel year round without a top.

IMO the seat coolers are overpriced. The only option I regret not getting is the lumbar support. I'm going to see at some point if it can be added after the fact.
