Blower motor is no longer functioning in my 2006 LJ Rubicon at any speed. So far I've done the following to troubleshoot:

1. Verified both fuses are good in the fuse box. Tested fuse box with multimeter and get a little over 12 volts

2. Swapped blower relay with a known functioning relay.

3. Used my test light and verified power is getting to the relay. Test light illuminates on two of the pins.

4. Verified with multimeter that there is no power to the blower motor plug.

I have not tested the speed selector switch but read that the common symptom of a faulty switch is the blower only working on high.

Would appreciate guidance on the next steps.

Only high is a common symptom of a bad blower motor resistor.

Could be a bad fan speed switch or the master HVAC control switch. Unlikely the resistor pack blew for all speeds, but I guess its possible.

Hopefully this is the right thread to continue with. My present AC blower is corroded and showering bushing parts (it's snowing copper). I got to replacement resistor and motor but the motor is non-functioning out of the box as mentioned in another thread. The floor being replaced as a continental (the very thin pins) and it doesn't seem to fit a plug snugly but works and squeals when the fans running. The replacement has elongated pins and the receptacle is even more sloppy (I have to use electrical tape from having it fall out).
Question is is there a better replacement than what I found or continental but was a part I found in the vehicle?

Had to correct my pre-coffee horrible grammar.

When I did my 97 I used a four seasons. The wiring harness was different...plug wise...but everything jammed into place and no issues since. Wasn't worried about the hokey connection since it's pretty accessible on the firewall.

Started this thread back in January could not find the parts for a wiring harness and got a fan delivered that did not fit the original OEM if this is OEM. As long as the pictures the part Continental blower did not fit the harness correctly. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated

My 97 had a pigtail that removed from fhe original motor... couple of spade connectors...was able to jam it on to the new motor's connectors. Still good three years later.

That appears to be the correct motor.

Your wiring harness doesn't look like the OEM connector.

Yes, that's the issue. Somewhere in time a round peg to square hole mechanic got his hands on the wiring harness/connector. Connector or harness discontinued in 2018 but China, Mexico & Canada still make the blower
