What did you do to your TJ today?

The P0300 came back after about a month. I read all the posts and went out today to lift the bonnet. The clamps on both ends of the air pipe from the air cleaner to the TB were loose, I mean, really loose. The clamps on the air cleaner box were all unclipped. I took the pipe off and looked in the throttle body - filthy. Started her up and sprayed in some carb cleaner. She spit a little, gave a big sigh, and started running right. I put the pipe back on, tightened everything, clipped on the cover and sprayed the outside of the TB. She jerked a little, then cleared up. Pulled the battery cable to clear the code and then took her out. She runs like new. She's always been quick, but now she's extra quick, especially for an 18 year old vehicle. Put on about 25 miles, not a blip. I think I got off easy!

Hairbrain idea number 231,654. Version 2.0 on this one. Material cost zero. Dry fit it looks like it’s getting close.

Relocated the ARB manifold to the ABS tray. Now just waiting on my M.O.R.E under hood compressor mount to get here Monday to relocate the air compressor. Also waiting on pieces and parts to move the air chuck to the front of the driver fender.

A chair leg tip cover makes a killer chuck cover- home depot has one that fits perfect.

SILENCE! I KEEL YOU!!!”
Actually, he’s a scarecrow Halloween decoration that we put up in our Park Host site when we’re volunteering at Texas State Parks in October. He’s even got an old Radio Shack intercom under his shirt so that he can talk to the kids. He even has a name tag that says “Host Ghost”.
He also likes to “drive” the Jeep when it’s being towed behind the motorhome. ☺️

Someone here in town took a 12 foot tall skeleton, stuffed him in the back of a jeep, attached his hands on the windshield frame and would drive around like that. I saw saw it in person but not long enough to get a picture. I'll see if I can find one.

I loved Pedernales Falls as a kid. Good times.

Taking time out from replacing bearings on my son's TJ to watch some football. Hook 'Em!

I appreciate that you did that. I don’t know how you do it though. I like working on my Jeep, except I feel like I have to get it done! So then instead of being something to enjoy it becomes a chore. I usually don’t event stop for lunch and just keep going. My kids late teens early 20’s know that and half the time will just yell out to the garage to see if they can get mw something quick. Last weekend one bought out something I could eat quickly.
